Sew-Cool Separates Presents. . .
"Versatile & Variegated"
Yoked Fair Isle Sweaters or Cardigans
A Knitting Pattern for Dianna Effner's 13" Little Darlings
This pattern includes written instructions for "Versatile & Variegated-LD," three different fair isle yoked sweaters or cardigans, knit neck-down for Dianna Effner's 13" Little Darling dolls.  Not all of the patterns are shown here--they include the two snowflakes patterns shown as well as a hearts pattern.

Instructions are also included to make matching hats as well as matching leg warmers.
This pattern is adjusted to specficially fit Dianna Effner's 13" Little Darling dolls, though they may also be a good fit on the 14" Tonner Betsy McCall.

One of the reasons I love these projects is because they require less finishing work.  You knit the turtleneck first, then knit the sweater from the neck down.  The only seams required are the arm and underarm seams, and then you pick up & knit the front (or back) ribbed edging.
The advantage of only having fair isle on the yoke is ease of dressing.  There are no loose floats of yarn in the sleeves to catch on dolly fingers.
Suggested Supplies
All of these sweaters are knit using needles in US sizes 1, 0 & 000 (2.25, 2 & 1.5mm).  I used KnitPicks Palette & Stroll, inexpensive fingering weight wool yarn available from www.knitpicks.com
Each sweater uses about 35-40 grams of yarn (Palette has 231 yards in a 50 gram ball).  If you'd also like to receive a three pack bag of small 6 gram balls of the three gray yarn colors shown in my example cardigans, please purchase the HARD COPY version of the pattern.  I did a knitting seminar a few years back, and will include a little three-pack bag with patterns as long as supplies last.
Finishing is done using needle, yarn & thread.  I recommend using 5-6 sets of small snaps for the back or front closure, with tiny buttons to decorate (available from www.minidolls.com) .

Item Basics
This purchase includes the PDF version of my KNITTING PATTERN for you to knit 3 different yoked fair isle sweaters or cardigans. It does NOT include actual sweaters or my doll, her dresses, her shoes, or props. If you'd prefer a HARD COPY version, please choose that option from the drop-down menu on the main Little Darling Pattern page.

I email your pattern as an attachment when I next check my email. Generally you should receive the email for your pattern within 2-24 hours of your purchase. If you don't receive it within a day, please email!
