"Dashing Diamonds II" Zip-Front Aran Cardigan A Pattern for Kish's 14" Chrysalis Dolls       ITEM DESCRIPTION This pattern includes a visual chart and written instructions for "Dashing Diamonds II," a Zip-Front Aran Cardigan for Kish's 14" Chrysalis dolls like Lark, Wren, Piper, Grace, Raven, and Shea.   This pattern is my own original design.  I previously published a version of this pattern for Tyler & Ellowyne, but these are completely new instructions for knitting the sweater from the top down.  You can make the cardigan hooded as shown or with a simple shawl collar.    I also include instructions for "Cable-Needle-Less Cable Knitting."  This is the perfect project for learning to knit cables without using a cable needle.         Suggested Supplies Wren's cardigan was knit using needles in US sizes 0 & 000 (2mm & 1.5mm).  I used KnitPicks Palette, an inexpensive fingering weight wool yarn available from www.knitpicks.com (231 yards in a 50 gram ball). The hooded cardigan used approximately 35-40 ounces.  Finishing is done using needle & thread and a small zipper (available from www.tinyzippers.com).
