"Skirted Sweater" Knitting Pattern

Ribbed Bodice Skirted Sweater pattern by Becky Colvin

THE SWEATER
This skirted sweater has a rolled hem, short sleeves and a ribbed bodice, and is finished with a tie belt with pom-poms on the ends.  I modeled this after a precious faux layered set I saw in Fred Meyers.  The skirt can be lengthened if you want to use it as a short-sleeved knitted dress.  (If you want to sew your own tee to go under your set, I suggest MHD's 'Petite Riens' pattern).

ITEM DESCRIPTION
This knitting pattern is for a cute skirted sweater with pom-pom tie front.  Of the patterns I've created, I think this is the first with no cables or fair-isle, but the ribbed bodice, slightly flared skirt, and cute pom-poms make it fun.

The sleeves are "set-in", which means you knit them separately and then sew them to the bodice.

The pattern has a self-edged back ribbing to cut down on finish work.

This project uses fingering weight yarn such as "Palette" from www.knitpicks.com.  You'll also need knitting needles in size 0 and 000 (2mm & 1.5 mm).  For back fastening, I suggest 3-4 sets of small snaps.

AUCTION BASICS
My doll's bodysuit tee was adjusted from a pattern by Magalie Houle Dawson (MHD designs).  All other patterns were designed by me.

I really want you to be happy with your purchase!  If you are unsatisfied with your purchase for any reason, I'll work with you to make it right.
